B Main 10th: 0
2) Two minute qualifying with IFMAR start to determine A and B main order, Fastest single lap determines grid order...
......A) after qualifying you must leave your car at a Marshal table, you can not charge or change the battery for the main...
You must run the same battery for the main... If your car needs to be fixed, you must fix it at the marshal table...
......B) If the announcer or the Pit Marshal gives you a penalty for rough driving, blocking, ect... you automatically qualify
back of the grid...
3) Mains will be 15 min, heads up start...
......A) No battery change during race is required... 3800 minimum is suggested....
4) Two mandatory pit stops will be required during the Main....
......A) you can not pit during the first lap or the last lap...
......B) A specific marshal will be designated as the "Pit Marshal".... he will be positioned as to not interfere
with the flow of traffic of the race...
......C) The "Pit Marshal" will be responsible to make sure everyone has pitted by placing a obvious sticker on the car
each time the car pits...
......D) The car will pit by carefully driving to his feet and stop... The Pit Marshal will then lift the rear of the car for a
count that is roughly 1/2 that of the average lap time of that track... for example, if the average lap for that track,
that day is 16 seconds, then the pit time will be 8 seconds...
......E) If you stop before the Pit Marshals feet, or past his feet, your pit stop will take slightly longer for him to reach you...
......F) If you pull in the pits and there is a car already there, you can wait your turn or safely pull out again but must
return again to pit...
......G) If you do not pit twice during the race, you are disqualified from that race and will receive 0 points... people behind you
will automatically bump up a space in points...
......H) The pit marshal will only be responsible for pitting and penalty duties and not for recovering crashed cars...
5) A Safety car will be used for a parade lap before each race...
......A) The Safety car will also be used under a Yellow Flag at a predetermined random time during the race only to be known
by the pit Marshal and the announcer...
......B) The Announcer will call out "Yellow Flag" as well as who the lead car is... at this point, NO more passing is
allowed, everyone has to safely slow down, and carefully line up behind the lead car... The Safety car will pull out and lead
the first place car for at least one lap, or as many as the announcer wants , within reason :)
......C) If you hit a car during the Yellow flag, you have to make an additional pit once the race resumes, if you pass a car under
Yellow, you have to make an additional pit once the race resumes
......D) You can not pit during a Yellow Flag... If you are already in the pits when a Yellow flag occurs, your OK...
......E) If you are waiting in the pits for another car when a Yellow flag occurs, you are OK...
......F) Only ONE Yellow flag will be called during the race...
......G) Only the Pit marshal or the Announcer can call for a pit penalty... They are effectively the track stewards :)
6) The Pit marshal or the Announcer can call for a pit stop penalty at there discretion, for hacking, unsportsmanlike
conduct, whatever they deem fit...
7) Race-day will be similar to the first annual F1 Series Day... 3 rounds, each round consisting of a 2 min qualifying
period, followed by a race... each round points will be given. Top three drivers will make podium , driver with the most points wins... also there will be
a winning team... the team with the most combined points wins... team points are determined by adding both drivers points
to come up with team points... each Qualifying will be important because it will determine if your running in the A main or B main
and also since we will be very stringent on handing out penalties for hack passing or aggressive driving, each grid space WILL be important... Do not
get upset if you get a pit stop penality, trust me, you will not be the only one getting one... driving clean will be just as important as driving fast in this series...
8) We will have a Tech table before and after each race...
9) Drive clean, respect your friends on the track and have fun...
10) We will have a drawing for a kick ass grand prize... each person will have their name placed in a container... after each race, if you did NOT receive a penalty
your name will be placed again in the container, increasing your odds of winning... Also after each race, the announcer and the pit marshal will each choose
one person who they felt was the cleanest driver of that race, regardless of how they finished and there name will be added again to the container... Basically
the cleaner you drive all day, the better your chances of winning the prize :) Also, in case of a tie, the driver or team with the least amount of penalities win...
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I know a lot of people will not like these rules... Or find the restrictions over the top, not friendly to newer drivers, too
expensive , or even unfair to the majority of F1 racers today who run a silver can foam tire combination...
I have heard every argument on both sides, and I see both points of view... I don't want this event to be a normal race schedule anything... I want this
event to be completely different, emphasizing a more realistic F1 experience... fast lap qualifying, longer run races, pit stops,
parade lap, yellow flag with safety car, penalty for poor driving, point series, driver championship as well as a team championship...
This has potential to be a disaster if we all get out there and hack each other, but if we all drive clean, respect your friends
on the track, then this can be a really interesting race of strategy and some luck, just like in real F1 :) 15 min is a LONG race,
being patient to make that pass, or to catch back up after an accident, or to pit when you come up to traffic, strategy and concentration
will play a huge role... and actually handing out pit stop penalties for hacking instead instead of just threatening "stop
and goes" will make us all drive better and make for a more fair race for everyone... , come to this race with the mindset of
clean respectful racing... we can all hack each other 51 other weeks of the year :)
Register as a team...
each driver will race for individual championship points, but there will also be team points...
